2025 Coin Convention Information

FREDERICKSBURG CONVENTION CENTER 2371 CARL D. SILVER PARKWAY FREDERICKSBURG, VA 22401 2025 VNA CONVENTION NEWS Attention VNA Members! Bring your VNA membership card and you can enter the show one hour early, through the front door - Friday and Saturday only. Early Birds: Pass is available during dealer setup on Thursday. Contact Bourse Chair, Richard Schornak 757 659-0235. Dealer Drop-off only, Wednesday, Sept. 17, 6:00 -11:00 pm. Dealer Setup: Thursday, Sept. 18 from 7:00 am - 10:00 am. Show opens to the Public Thursday, September 18 Hours: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Thursday Education: Digital Crossover Day - See "Education Speaker Schedule" linked below Friday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (Youth & Homeschoolers Day) Saturday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (Grandparents/Grandchildren/Boy Scouts Day) JOIN VNA! If you join in September, your dues include calendar year 2026. See Membership Application here. Exhibits - There will be multiple numismatic exhibits on display. Bourse Chair - The Virginia Numismatic Association (VNA) seeks a volunteer to replace the current VNA Convention Bourse Chair, Richard Schornak. We seek someone to work alongside Richard this year to gain insight into the workings of the VNA Convention. This is a unique opportunity. Hotel accommodations - There are no special room rates, or blocks of rooms, at local hotels for this year's event. Convention Banquet Friday, September 19, 2025 The Convention Banquet will be held at The Great American Buffet Central Park Shopping Area, 1780 Carl D. Silver Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA The banquet will be held from 6:00 - 8:30 pm, room available at 5:30. The Speaker's presentation will begin at 6:45. The total cost will be $27.00 for the buffet, drink, tax and gratuity included. Awards will be presented after the dinner and presentation. Advance payment by cash or check (made out to VNA) is encouraged to speed checkout. Present payment at the show to David Kurtz by 5:00 pm, or mail a check to him in advance at 204 Mershon Way, Williamsburg, VA 20185. Individuals are responsible to pay for their own meals. Guest Speaker: David C. Hershey Roman Gold to Spanish Silver: Introducing the Ancient and Medieval Coin Collection of the University of Richmond Museums David Hershey is a member of the Richmond Coin Club and the Collections Manager at the University of Richmond Museums. Homeschoolers, Young Numismatists, Grandparents Days Friday is Youth and Homeschoolers Day. There will be a special area and schedule for speakers, see below. Free coins will be given out for participants. Saturday is Grandparents/Grandchildren/Boy Scouts Day. Speakers and programs will be of broad interest to both children and adults. Award Nominations: VNA members may nominate deserving folks for 2025 VNA awards by sending your name, the name of the nominee, which VNA award, and why they deserve this recognition to Parry Bragg and John Kolos. 2025 CONVENTION PROGRAM The Convention Program includes the Schedule of Events, and a list of all dealers with their table numbers.
